First Eucharist

This weekend was a busy and exciting weekend for our family.  Hannah received her first Eucharist.  It was something we had prepared for throughout the year. The last couple of months were a whirlwind of preparation for the big day and so hard to believe how quickly it came.
The weather was cloudy with scattered showers.  Luckily we were able to get some pictures outside before the big rain came in the evening.

I took about a million pictures because I am just crazy like that!

Nana Rose and Papa Joe gave Hannah a special cross to wear!

Hannah just had to have a picture with her and Ollie!

This girl cake topper was actually mine and my sisters that we used on our first communion.  We were shocked when my mom gave it to us because my mother barely kept anything from our youth!  It is a running joke in our family.  She just likes to get rid of everything so it is real special to have this!

These cookies were just the cutest.  I got them on ETSY from Lorisplace.  She did such a good job and was so pleasant to work with.  They were little dress cookies that I used as favors.  So yummy too!

The service was wonderful.  Hannah did a little reading and read beautifully.  After the service we
headed to one our favorite restaurants, Gibbet Hill.  We had about fifty family and friends gathered to share in her special day.  The evening went great.  The boys behaved nicely and looked so darn cute in their shirts and ties.

                 will never be hungry,
                 he who believes in Me
                  will never thirst."
