End of the year Cheer!

Well it's been an entire week since the kiddos have been out of school and it only feels like six weeks give or take. . . . just kidding.  Seriously though it does take some adjustment to having them around all the time, but I wouldn't  have it any other way.  I LOVE SUMMER!  Only 60 more days left until school starts!!!!  My kids have the count down, not me.  They clearly think 60 days is just not enough time.  I think we will all be ready by then to go back to school. HA!
The end of the year is ALWAYS super busy.  All the grades have their end of the year celebrations, sports and activities finish up with parties etc.  This year was no exception.  I was at the schools for something practically every day the last two weeks of school.
Finley ended his best year yet in second grade with Mrs. Dubois.  We could not have asked for a better teacher for him.  She went above and beyond our expectations.  She challenged Finn and really helped him gain confidence in his work.  Finley has really impressed us with his math knowledge.  He just might me a mathematician some day.  Just loves it!  He will miss Mrs. Dubois so much!  He even cried about it the last week of school.  My little sensitive guy, but he is excited about third grade and meeting his new teacher, Mrs. Bellipani.

                                                             Finley and Mrs. DuBois

Hannah ended fourth grade and will now be moving on to the Middle School with Hunter.  She had a great year with Mr.Wright.  It was her first male teacher and although she won't admit it, she loved having him.  He was funny and his classroom had a fun learning environment.  I know she will miss him a great deal and really hopes one of her little brothers will get him in fourth grade.
The fourth graders have what they call a "fond farewell."  It's basically a mini graduation.

                                                           Hannah and Mr. Wright

We are thrilled she got one of Hunter's old teachers, Mrs. Hujsak!  I was secretly crossing my fingers for her.  I know she will be the perfect fit for Hannah as she transitions to a new school.  I know she is excited as well since she has not stopped talking about Mrs. Hujsak since the last day of school.  The girl is seriously driving me crazy talking about all the new supplies she needs and how she will decorate her locker. Girls!! Too funny!
We are also excited that Ryland will be having the same teacher Finn and Hannah had for Kindergarten, Mrs. Alexakos, aka Mrs. A.  We have been so blessed to have all these great teachers.  The only thing I am not to thrilled about is that we have afternoon kindergarten.  I was planning for morning.  But, I strongly believe things happen for a reason so I know it will all work out just fine!
Hunter finished up sixth grade with Mr. Dustin.  He did great and made Honors each trimester. We are so proud of him!  He will be staring seventh grade with Mrs. Hinricks, Mrs. Curran, Mr. White and Mr.Opre in the fall.  Since he is my first born I am not familiar with any of these teachers, but I am hoping and praying they will be a good fit for him.  He is not super psyched for seventh grade, worried that it will be a lot of work. Ha!  We shall see.
The kids last day of school was also Dad's birthday!  What better way to kick off the summer!

My boys love them some hockey, as do I.  We were thrilled our hometown, Bruins, made it to the Stanley Cup finals.  Sadly we lost to the Chicago, Blackhawks. :(    Moving on to Football soon! Can't wait :)!
Finally, last weekend ended the boys baseball and Hannah's dance. They had lot's of fun, but mom and dad are looking forward to the break!

Preschool Graduation!

I can't believe it!  My baby is graduating preschool.  I knew this day would come.  When my last child would finish up the early years and start kindergarten, but i did not realize how quickly it would pass.  My fourth one!  Bittersweet for sure!
It was a balmy 95 degrees at nine in the morning for Ryland's big day.  I hate to complain after the long cold winter, but what happened to spring!  The children were adorable with their songs and slideshow.  My sweet Rye said he almost cried watching all the pictures.  Love that boy.  He is such a joy and has he biggest heart.
I am going to miss the preschool so much.  I have literally been there for years.  Miss Ellen, Miss Debbie and Miss Ruthie are just the best! We are truly lucky and blessed to have them as our teachers.

After the graduation and tears from all the parents, (ha) there was a little carnival outside to celebrate.  I let Hannah and Finley miss school in the morning so they could come.  There were games, face painting and a snow cone truck that came.  It was such a welcome treat in the heat!

Congratulations  Ryland!  We love you so much and can't wait to begin your new journey with you at Clark School.  We know there are so many exciting things in store for you!  xoxo
