Making it Through March!

Well, according to my great blogging skills of late, it couldn't possibly be March!  Last I blogged it was Christmas.  Honestly, I am a bit behind.  Sorry kids!  But I'm not giving up.  In my defense, the theme around here has been the same since December.  Cold, snow, cold, snow. . . . You get the idea!  This winter has been rough.  I'm not going to lie, it has been the worst.  We are just starting to see the grass.  I have not seen the grass since December.
My camera has pictures of stories that are longing to be told.  In an effort to catch up I figure I might as well post pictures along with a word or two.  At least I will feel better and feel caught up. Ha!

FEBRUARY

We celebrated my birthday, which, I kid you not had to be rescheduled 3 times due to snow!  I love birthdays, but it's no fun getting older when you already feel old!

The rest of the month looked like this:

Safe to say the kids missed a bit of school and mom was ready to have a breakdown!

MARCH

Happy to have February behind us and move on to some better weather.  Ha!  Wishful thinking.  I never would have dreamed that March weather would be worse.  Not only was it cold and snowy, the wind and lack of sun just really hit hard.  It was March MADNESS at it's best!

This little guy brought a smile to my face during this rough weather phase.  This month he lost TWO teeth on the bottom.  I can't believe it.  My baby is growing up!

A bit of sad news. . . .  our beloved, first and only pet bunny, Ollie, passed away earlier this month.  It was very emotional and  heartbreaking for the kids as well as Chris and myself.  We are not sure what happened.  He become ill on Friday, was not eating and walking funny.  Saturday morning I saw him sprawled out at the bottom of the stairs and the sight of him just tore my heart out!  He was trying to get up the stairs but could not.  Sunday we took him to the vet and they were uncertain as well.  His x -ray showed nothing broken.  They gave us some medicine and special food and we thought he was going to be alright.  Sadly, he died that night.  We suspect it was a stroke.  Bless his heart.  We loved that little guy so much.  As sad as it was, it was a good life lesson for the kids.

We felt the best way for our family was to get a new bunny ASAP!  Thanks to me dad, who is the best dad ever!  He called all over to find a bunny for us.  It was not an easy task but long story short. . . Introducing . . .
ASHTON
Our six week old Netherland dwarf.
I could seriously die from the cuteness!

FINALLY

Props to me for posting something about Easter a whole 2 days before Easter.  I mean really, at this rate, I would probably get it up by summer.  So needless to say I am proud of myself.  Pathetic I know!
We did stop by the mall to visit the Easter Bunny and actually got a decent photo.  Too bad Hunter was not in the photo.  He has decided that being 12 and all he would pass this year.  Picking my battles!

                                                                  HAPPY EASTER!
