Parlee Farm

Every year we like to take the kids to Parlee Farm for some apple picking and hay rides.  I love the  apples this time of year!  They have small animals to look at and a hay maze.  Of course Hannah wanted to take all the bunnies home.  She felt so sad for them because they have to live outside in the dirt and have warm water to drink.  I needed to remind her that that is normal for rabbits.  Our bunny, Ashton, is living the high life at our house!  Most bunnies don't live that way! HA!

Sailing through September

In it's usual fashion, life is whipping by and yet I am still amazed that today is the last day of September.  This first month back to school, sports and activities has been a whirlwind to say the least.  I do feel everyone has been adjusting nicely to the new groove and the hustle and bustle each school year presents.
Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year.  I may have a problem with all things pumpkin from my coffee to my food it's all about pumpkin this time of year! Ha!  The weather has just been ideal and the leaves are starting to impress us with their deep and vibrant colors.  This part of fall never gets old to me.  It's as if I have never seen the leaves change colors in my life and yet I'm o.k. with that.  It's good to realize how the simple things in life still remain mystical and can still excite us as we often rush through each day wrapped in our own worlds.  I like to remind myself to slow down each day and look at all the colors.
Soccer is in full swing.  Ryland and Finley are really enjoying the game this year and have become quite skilled.  It's so much fun to watch them each Saturday morning.  Ryland and his five year old teammates are too cute out there!  Honestly, Ryland plays each game like his life depends on it.  That boy is so competitive.  He was playing goalie last weekend and I swear he would not be afraid to break his arm or leg to stop the ball. Ha!  He did not let one ball get passed him.

Finally, the Patriots are 4 and 0!!  I don't know how they pulled it off thus far, we have a lot of new players this year and at least three of our great players are hurt, but if I guess if it's not broke, don't fix it!  Go Tom Brady! xo
