Eight Is Great!

In honor of Finley's big day, he chose a baseball theme which we celebrated at Hampshire Hills. The kids did some wall climbing and sports games.  He had some friends from school, cousins, and neighbors.  They were all excited to do some wall climbing, until they actually saw the wall. Ha!  It looked awfully high to me, never mind a little kid.  After they got the first climb out of the way, they become more confident and daring, a few even made it to the top and rang the bell!
Not to be outdone by the children, Daddy and Papa Fred had to try their hand at climbing.  I think they were afraid the kids would outshine them.  In the end they were both troopers and made it to the top.  If not for the new wedges I was wearing, I would have so rocked that wall!  At least I'd like to think so.

             GO DADDY!

    GO PAPA FRED!

* On the morning of Finley's birthday we surprised him with a pair of beats he had been longing for.  I scored a great deal on said beats so it was a win win!  He was so surprised!

Happy 8th Birthday Finley!

I cannot  even fathom the idea that my little blond headed, dimpled baby boy is turning 8!  In fact, you are far from a baby. . . sigh!  You are turning into the most amazing boy, with such a love and energy for life.  You are becoming a great baseball and soccer player.  I am so impressed with the speed you can build a lego set.  I'm not just talking about the the small ones either, brother can build a whole city in lightening speed.  I love that you still LOVE school and learning new things, especially math.  You could do math all day long!
We could not ask for a better son.  You are truly our ray of sunshine with a big smile on your face, ALWAYS!  Hunter, Hannah and Ryland are so blessed to have you as their brother.  You are so giving and kind to them.  Happy 8th birthday my little Finn.  We love you!!!!  xoxoxo

Sunday Sailing!

We had a wonderful Sunday on the pier of Newburyport.  The kids had their first catamaran ride on the ocean.  The weather was just perfect for the trip.  Nana and papa came along for the ride.  So relaxing and had me yearning for Burmuda!  It's the sister ship of the one we take snorkeling when we go. . . hopefully next summer! Wink!
After we ate at the Grog.  The same restaurant I went to as a child when visiting Newburyport. I love sharing places with my children that I enjoyed when I was young.  Ah. . .  the memories!
