Lucky Seven!

Oh, how can it be that my third born, blue eyed, dimpled little boy is seven today!  Lucky seven indeed, for we are the luckiest parents in the world to have a son so wonderful.  You are my sincere little guy with the biggest heart.  You are so bright and eager to learn. A lover of legos, soccer, tennis, basketball, math and ice-cream. Every parents dream! You are turning into such a big boy with your new front teeth and long skinny legs.  You still love your blankie though, and I love that about you.  It lets me know that you are not too big.  I want to embrace these days and create wonderful childhood memories for you for time passes so quickly.  I love you Finley, my lucky little seven year old!

Per your request, we had a Ninjago themed birthday party.  You and all your friends are obsessed with lego Ninjago so it was a good choice!  You also wanted it to be at Gymnastics Village which was a great idea for all you little ninjas!  You all had a blast on the zip line, trampoline, foam pit, and rope swing.

I made this cute little boxes which I copied from pinterest.  Love pinterest!

Lego themed soap.  So cute!

The ninjago cupcakes were a hit!

Summer at Seabrook Beach

We just got back from our yearly visit to Seabrook beach.  The same beach we have gone to since I was 6 months old.  The weather was perfect and the kids spent hours boogy boarding, swimming and playing in the sand.  It was so nice to relax and hear the sound of the ocean.  I just love the beach!  If the water could just be a little warmer it would be perfect.  The kids don't mind though. . . . they jumped right in the 60 degree water.  No thanks.  Not for me.  I enjoy the water in the Bermuda. Ha!  In a few short weeks that is where Chris and I will be headed.  Can't wait!  A week with just the two of us is what the doctor ordered.  I love the saying going away with the family is a trip, but going away with the two of you is a VACATION!  Enough said.
We did have a wonderful time with our family at the beach and our summer is rolling along nicely.  Can't wait to make some more summertime memories!

Jumping Through June and July!

Busy, Busy, Busy . . . seems to be my buzz word these days.  With school out, there seems to be no slowing down.  Hard to believe it is July already.  Not Just July, but after the fourth.  Practically fall according to the magazines and stores. Ha!  I hope not.  I love the summer and want to just slow it down and relish each day.
June wrapped up nicely with Ryland and Finley finishing up soccer.   Finley really shined this year and I think soccer may be his thing!

Ryland graduated Preschool and will enter Pre-K in the fall.

Finley had his music show, was selected for the art show and dazzled me with his writings at the authors tea.

Hannah had her week long third grade colonial history project in town which ended with a colonial themed picnic. The kids really enjoyed exploring the historic buildings in our town and learning the rich history our little town encompasses.

Hunter was chosen for the art show as well and finished off the school year with high honors.  So proud of him and his first year in middle school!

Summertime treats!

After school ended it was straight to Hannah's dance recitals!

Now I feel at least caught up.  We just got back from a fun filled week at Seabrook beach.  The weather was picture perfect and I hope to post pictures before school starts. Ha!  I am really hoping I can blog more and not feel like I am always catching up, but life does not want to slow down.  We shall see.
