Bermuda Bound!

We just got back from an amazing cruise to Bermuda.  I have been so looking forward to this trip!  I have been to Bermuda once before and just love it!  We left Boston in somewhat of a fog.  A bit dreary.
No worries!  By the next day on the sea is was sunshine and blue sky!  Thankfully it was that way the entire time.

A little rainy. . . no problem.  We are on vacation. . . no kiddos. . . cue the cocktail!  So grateful that my parents and in-laws would be taking fabulous care of the kids.  They had lots of fun things planned and I was going to have an entire week of sleeping in, reading, and dare I say pampered.  No cooking and cleaning.  Just what the doctor ordered.  Pure bliss.

The dock where the ship stays in Bermuda

AHHH!  Total relaxation!  I miss it already. Ha!

Horseshoe Bay!  One of my favorite beaches in Bermuda.  The only water I can actually stay in for hours.  Pure heaven!

Every night our room steward would leave a sweet animal towel for us as he took down our bed!  I could get used to the room service for sure.

This is the boat we took snorkeling to the "Bermuda Triangle."  So much fun.  We also had a water tour of some famous houses including Michael Douglas' home.  Swanky!

Our ship

We had a a nice little balcony in our room.  It was so peaceful sitting out there on the ocean.

I had such a great time with Christian on our vacation.  It was so wonderful to spend time with each other and not worry about schedules and commitments.  It was fun to dress up every night and try different restaurants on the ship.  The food was so good.  Thank goodness they have a gym on board. Ha!  The shows were fantastic and as usual we met some "fun" people.  It is so nice to have a break from the daily grind.  We did miss the kids and getting back into routine was tiring.  Not that I am complaining,  but going from vacation where everyone does everything for you to going back to mom duty was exhausting.   Dreaming of my next trip already. . . . .

Lucky Seven!

Oh, how can it be that my third born, blue eyed, dimpled little boy is seven today!  Lucky seven indeed, for we are the luckiest parents in the world to have a son so wonderful.  You are my sincere little guy with the biggest heart.  You are so bright and eager to learn. A lover of legos, soccer, tennis, basketball, math and ice-cream. Every parents dream! You are turning into such a big boy with your new front teeth and long skinny legs.  You still love your blankie though, and I love that about you.  It lets me know that you are not too big.  I want to embrace these days and create wonderful childhood memories for you for time passes so quickly.  I love you Finley, my lucky little seven year old!

Per your request, we had a Ninjago themed birthday party.  You and all your friends are obsessed with lego Ninjago so it was a good choice!  You also wanted it to be at Gymnastics Village which was a great idea for all you little ninjas!  You all had a blast on the zip line, trampoline, foam pit, and rope swing.

I made this cute little boxes which I copied from pinterest.  Love pinterest!

Lego themed soap.  So cute!

The ninjago cupcakes were a hit!

Summer at Seabrook Beach

We just got back from our yearly visit to Seabrook beach.  The same beach we have gone to since I was 6 months old.  The weather was perfect and the kids spent hours boogy boarding, swimming and playing in the sand.  It was so nice to relax and hear the sound of the ocean.  I just love the beach!  If the water could just be a little warmer it would be perfect.  The kids don't mind though. . . . they jumped right in the 60 degree water.  No thanks.  Not for me.  I enjoy the water in the Bermuda. Ha!  In a few short weeks that is where Chris and I will be headed.  Can't wait!  A week with just the two of us is what the doctor ordered.  I love the saying going away with the family is a trip, but going away with the two of you is a VACATION!  Enough said.
We did have a wonderful time with our family at the beach and our summer is rolling along nicely.  Can't wait to make some more summertime memories!
