LOVE IS IN THE AIR!

It's been a while since I have posted on line.  I must admit it's taken me all week to get over the Super bowl loss!  It was a tough game to watch. We had such high hopes for out Patriots, thus it was not meant to be.  You know you have taken it a bit hard when your own kids are telling you it's just a GAME. That there is always NEXT YEAR!  Honestly, they took it better than Chris and me.  

I have moved on.   Valentine's Day is in full swing at our house.  The kids have their parties today as tomorrow is a short day.  Most of yesterday was spent baking and preparing for the parties.  My new favorite thing to make are cake pops.  I got a cake pop machine for Christmas which is a great help in making these babies, but boy are they time consuming.  So many steps and I am not really fancy like Bakerella!  They do taste really good though!

I simply love pinterest and might be slightly addicted!  I just get the best ideas and my kids valentines were no exception.  I  kept seeing the picture of the kids sticking out their hand with the lollipop and knew I had to do that for Finley.  I thought they came out pretty good!

For Ryland, I saw these cute shovels that said, "I DIG YOU" . . . . adorable!  Finding shovels this time of year was a challenge.  Thank goodness for ETSY!

                    Finally, tomorrow is my birthday.  It's a BIG one and I'm not going to lie, it hurts a bit.  I know it's just a number, but I am finding it hard to comprehend that I am going going to be 40!  There,  I said it!  We celebrated with our families Saturday night at a new restaurant in town, The Copper Door.  It was fantastic!  The food and atmosphere were superb.

                       Chris and I have a special date planned for tomorrow, my big day.  Until then I am holding on strong to my thirties!    (Chris gave me an early birthday gift this weekend. . .  a new camera. The sony nex-c3 with a zoom lens.  I am so excited to have a nicer camera.  I feel like I was going through point and shoots like water.  Can't wait to experiment with it!)
